Happy New Year! Thank you all for your support of ASBPA in 2019 and I look forward to an even better 2020. I will keep this email relatively brief, but look forward to additional messages in the near future. Chapter Meetings
First and foremost, I apologize for “spamming” the entire chapter email list with calendar appointments. Well, as the kids say “sorry, not sorry” because I wanted everyone to have these Chapter Lunch & Learn dates on their calendars for 2020. I know that last minute conflicts or schedule changes are always inevitable, but at least everyone knows what to expect for 2020. I may have unfortunately missed some folks as a result of cleaning up our Chapter email list, so here they are briefly:
2020 Lunch & Learn Meetings:March 19, 2020, 11:30-1:00 (Alabama)June 18, 2020, 11:30-1:00 (Louisiana)September 17, 2020, 11:30-1:00 (Mississippi)

Chapter Membership
We cleaned up our Chapter email list this morning. After cross-referencing our contact list with the 2019 final ASBPA membership list, here are the details. We have about 110 folks on this contact list that are not currently members of ASBPA. This does not include folks who are employed by one of our corporate members. Unfortunately, I also had about 20 folks on the ASBPA membership list that were not on my contact list. Hopefully, that has been remedied (until I see the email bounces regarding changed companies, etc.).
If you are reading this message and you are not a member, please consider making 2020 your first year as an ASBPA member! If you have not renewed your ASBPA membership, please do so now! Either way, the path to membership begins here: https://asbpa.org/members/become-a-member/.
Chapter 2020 Conference
The ASBPA Central Gulf Coast Chapter will be hosting its first annual regional conference in 2020. This will be a one-day event with technical presentations. We would like to see a strong member turnout to either present at or attend this meeting. We also hope to encourage a strong turnout from students in our region. We will work with the ASBPA Students & New Professionals committee to make this happen, and to provide the students with a positive professional development opportunity.
