The Central Gulf Coast Chapter has set the dates for our 2021 Lunch & Learn series (see below). Please enter these dates into your calendars now. Details (topic, speaker bio, Zoom link, etc.) will be sent to the Chapter email list one week in advance of the meeting. These meetings will be held virtually using the Zoom platform. As in years past, each meeting will begin with a few minutes dedicated to Chapter business and then we will move on to the speaker and their presentation. Please complete this form (Google Forms link) if you would like to give a Lunch & Learn presentation in 2021.
Q1 Lunch & Learn: March 18, 2021 12-1 PM Central
Q2 Lunch & Learn: June 17, 2021 12-1 PM Central
Q3 Lunch & Learn: September 16, 2021 12-1 PM Central
We are hoping to introduce two new (virtual) events in 2021. One will be a technical workshop. Details regarding this event are still in flux, but you can provide your input using this survey (Google Forms link). Please complete that survey so we can capture your input on this new event for our Chapter. The other new Chapter event for 2021 will be a Chapter Annual Meeting. The date for this meeting is still TBD but will likely occur in the last quarter of 2021. While we have typically conducted our official Chapter business during the quarterly Lunch & Learn series, this new Annual Meeting will provide an opportunity for our Chapter members to become more engaged in the work of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. The Annual Meeting will be open to all, but only ASBPA members will be allowed to vote for board and/or executive positions.
Finally, we should note that the ASBPA National Coastal Conference is scheduled for September 28 to October 1 in New Orleans, LA. Please consider participating in this conference by submitting an abstract, registering to attend, and/or by inquiring about opportunities to serve on the conference planning committee. We hope to have a very strong turnout from the Central Gulf Coast Chapter. This conference will be an excellent opportunity to increase our membership in ASBPA and our representation from the Central Gulf Coast.
