Celebrate National Beach Day this August with ASBPA

Join us in celebrating National Beach Day all month long by supporting our efforts to lead the next generation of coastal scientists and engineers into the future of coastal preservation.

We are excited to report that a record number of students will attend this month’s National Coastal Conference in Galveston! Training and supporting the next generation of coastal scientists and engineers is essential to ASBPA. These students will solve the coastal challenges of tomorrow- maybe at your organization. While we actively engage students through our Students and New Professionals chapter, student awards, and travel stipends, we need your support to further our efforts. One day, we hope to establish an ASBPA student endowment.

To achieve this goal, ASBPA is holding our 2024 annual fundraiser to raise $40,000 this August, culminating on Friday, August 30 – National Beach Day – the day after the ASBPA National Coastal Conference adjourns. This is going to be fun!

Here’s the plan:

We will hold two fundraisers every year for coastal preservation of both shores and beaches. In addition to National Beach Day, a second fundraiser will be held on February 2 – World Wetlands Day. You can donate to beaches or shores regardless of the day you choose to give. We will track the donations to each in real time as we race toward our goal. Are you #TeamBeaches or #TeamShores?
