The Students and New Professionals Chapter of ASBPA is hosting the annual University Chapter Roundtable on April 2nd from 12 – 1:45 pm EST. The University Chapter Program aims at benefiting student’s experience within the coastal field by providing opportunities for networking and professional development, site visits to regional coastal projects, participation in ASBPA conferences, student scholarships, student internships, and more.
The roundtable will feature interactive discussions on best practices and lessons learned, breakout rooms, and a Q&A session. The breakout rooms are a great opportunity for regional chapters to engage with their local universities and discuss opportunities for collaboration.
The University Chapter program is an opportunity for SNP and regional chapters to progress towards ASBPA’s strategic plan and goal to help develop the next generation of coastal practitioners. Currently, there are University Chapters established at nationally recognized coastal programs including the Stevens Institute of Technology, University of Delaware, University of North Carolina Wilmington, University of South Alabama, Florida Institute of Technology, and Florida Atlantic University.
