The SNP Chapter is thrilled to invite you to the 2025 SNP Virtual Coastal Career Fair on November 12, from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM Eastern Time. This online event via Zoom is designed to connect emerging talent in coastal science, engineering, and policy with leading organizations across the public, private, academic, and nonprofit sectors. Whether you’re actively seeking an internship, a full-time position, or simply exploring career paths in the coastal field, this event offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with professionals who are eager to meet and mentor the next generation.
The career fair will kick off with a welcome from the SNP host, and a keynote address from ASBPA Executive Director Nicole Elko, offering insights into career development and the evolving landscape of coastal work. Following the opening remarks, participants will join three rounds of breakout sessions, each featuring a different set of organizations presenting their work, culture, and hiring opportunities. These sessions are designed to be interactive, with time dedicated to Q&A and open discussion. Participants will be able to pre-select their first breakout room during registration, and then freely move between rooms in subsequent sessions to explore a variety of organizations.
To help organizations connect with the right candidates, students and new professionals will be asked to provide basic information during registration, including their academic status or job title, interests, anticipated availability, and optionally a resume and short career goal statement. This information will be shared with participating organizations ahead of the event. Attendees are encouraged to dress professionally, come prepared with thoughtful questions, and have their resumes ready to share. Each breakout room will be moderated by an SNP representative to ensure smooth transitions and support meaningful engagement.
This event also serves as the first in a two-part series. Organizations participating in the career fair will be invited to support their interns in presenting at a Summer 2026 Internship Symposium, giving students and new professionals a chance to showcase their work and continue building their professional networks.
If you are a student, recent graduate, or early-career professional in the coastal field—or if you know someone who is—please help spread the word and encourage them to register. The registration link and additional details can be found at https://asbpa.org/about-us/chapters/students-new-professionals/ and scrolling to the “Career Fair” tab on the far right side. We look forward to seeing you!

Please consider joining the ASBPA.
