Guidelines for submitting a dedicated session

ASBPA welcomes dedicated sessions for the 2020 National Coastal Conference.  If you would like to submit a dedicated session, please adhere to the following guidelines in order to have a dedicated session accepted for the program:

  1. There can only be four session members of the session.  The session will consist of four talks. Each session member will be required make a presentation and adhere to the conference timelines. This would include the session organizer’s comments/presentation.
  2. There must be a dedicated session organizer.  This session organizer will be responsible for completing the following steps:
    1. Must give the session a name.
    2. The session must be entered online through the conference abstract web site.
    3. A separate abstract must be submitted that identifies and describes the dedicated session. The abstract must clearly contain the following:
      1. A title for the session
      2. A brief session description
      3. Session organizer contact information.
    4. Ensure that each session member submits an abstract:
      1. If the session organizer is making a presentation, he/she must submit an abstract for his or her talk
      2. Each participant must submit his or her abstract through the conference web site before the abstract deadline has elapsed (June 12)
      3. The abstract submitted by the session member must clearly state that they are in the dedicated session and identify the name of the dedicated session.

It will be necessary for the session organizer to ensure all steps outlined above are completed before the abstract deadline on June 12 in order for the dedicated session to be considered for the conference. Submit the session abstract here.
