Shaping Shores

The American Shore & Beach Preservation Association (ASBPA) will commemorate its centennial in 2026 featuring a bold vision for the future. ASBPA is launching a centennial podcast, “Shaping Shores” with different series to celebrate ASBPA’s 100 heroes, ASBPA Chapters, and to walk through ASBPA’s history. Episodes will go live in January and lead up to the 2026 National Coastal Conference in Atlantic City, NJ. 

 

Podcast episodes will be recorded with ASBPA’s Executive Director, Nicole Elko and cohosts from the coastal community now through the first quarter of 2026. Recordings will be edited for clarity and formatted for distribution online and culminate in a centennial video focused on the enduring legacy and future vision of ASBPA. 

STEP 1

Schedule Your Recording

Below you will find availability by month to schedule your podcast recording or meeting with Nicole Elko and production. Each month is located in a drop down and should filled out individually.

  • Click the drop down arrow on the right to open each month’s  forms.
  • Enter your name and email.
  • Pick dates you are available to see open times.
  • Select times.
  • Hit submit. You will receive a confirmation email for each form submitted.

Staff will use provided availability to schedule a 30 minute Audio Visual check and question review and a 45 minute full interview. If you are interested in participating but do not share availability on any of the dates shared, please email Annie.mercer@asbpa.org with dates and times you are available.
